MY JOURNEY

My great enthusiasm for architecture and interior design led me to pursue and complete an interior design degree from Palm Beach State College.  Shortly before graduating in 1998, I began my career with a prestigious interior design company in Palm Beach, Florida.  After moving to Jupiter, Florida, I worked for a local, award-winning interior design firm for several years, further gaining valuable knowledge and experience.

Starting my own interior design business in 2006 was a natural and exciting progression on my career path.  In my 24-year long professional practice, I have provided complete design services for a variety of private residences, ranging from new, custom-built construction to existing homes, townhomes and condominiums, as well as private clubs, builder spec homes and yachts.

I draw my inspiration from relentless exploration of the visual world:  art, interiors, architecture, nature’s wonders… and all things beautiful.

My personal favorite forms of artistic expression include watercolor and needle arts, with nature as a preferred subject.  I also enjoy traveling, reading, listening to music, meeting new people, and spending time with family and friends.

I reside in Jupiter, Florida with my husband and our two daughters.

Florida Registered Interior Designer:   License No. ID5235

NCIDQ Certificate No. 0215152

my profession

I am a Registered Interior Designer, holding an interior designer license in the state of Florida.

In the state of Florida, interior designer license is issued by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation and requires extensive education, experience and a successful passage of the NCIDQ exam.  NCIDQ is the global leader in establishing standards of competence for interior professionals. Interior designers who meet NCIDQ's eligibility requirements for education and experience and pass the rigorous NCIDQ Examination are assigned a unique NCIDQ Certificate number that attests to their qualifications for employers, state regulators and the general public.

In order to maintain Florida interior designer license, Registered Interior Designers are required to complete 20 hours of continuing education on a biennial basis.  Holding a license in the state of Florida permits a practice of residential and commercial interior design.

I served as a board member of the Florida South Chapter of the American Society of the Interior Designers and as the Chapter President in 2013-2014.

I also served as a member of the Interior Design Partnership Council at Palm Beach State College during 2013-2015 term.
